Blockchain & The Law Roundup: 4 January 2018

It’s rather quiet as everybody clears their  desks after the Christmas & New Year’s break. Mind you, we expect this state of affairs to be a short lived one. We will all be drowning in blockchain by mid month. We will have a few legal developments to report and will be interviewing a CEO at one Dutch company that’s working closely with their government to find solutions in blockchain to ease the burdens on that country’s judicial departments. As they say, watch this space.

Starting from this project, the two companies said they will continue to work together to create a specialized global exchange platform where all kinds of creations can be registered and traded including picture, image, art work, Webtoon, and trademark rights in addition to music to protect intellectual property. To make this happen, they will establish a consortium with relative businesses and organizations to create a blockchain-based platform for creations for the first time in the world.
